A huge congratulations to all 2018 CMC winners from the NR studio! Special congratulations to Amber Wang and Cindy Lang, who both won First Place in their respective age categories at 2018’s Canadian National Music Competition in Montreal. Amber is 11 years old and played Beethoven’s Concerto No. 3 in the 12-yr-old category. Cindy is 9, and this was her first time at a national competition! She played movement 1 of Haydn’s D Major Concerto, in her respective age category, and received an exceptional mark of 96%!
Another warm congratulations to Allen Ding for placing 3rd in the 7-yr-old category at CMC! Allen played the third movement of Haydn’s Concerto in D Major.
Special congrats to Emma Sha, Julie Wu, and Jonathan Wang for placing fourth. Emma played Mozart K. 459, Julie Wu, played Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No. 1, and Jonathan played the first movement of Haydn D Major!
